My name's Dan. Painting is my way of feeling the world and life, while science allows me to understand it. I paint oil paintings (rarely gouaches and acrylics) using wet-to-wet and alla prima techniques. Usually I treat paint as a material for forming the structure of the painting. In my art, I search for the border between impression and expression. I am inspired by mountains, sea, trees, flowers and avant-garde painting from the early 20th century (especially fauvism).
