“Lullaby for the Night” explores the theme of gossip. By day, the girl hears rumors about herself and others; by night, a mystical man appears—the embodiment of those rumors—singing her the events of the day as she sleeps. Painted in red, the girl reflects anger and inner turmoil. The creature’s sharp black arms pull her into lies and fiction. Inspired by my own experience with rumors, the heroine resembles me to convey personal emotions.
